To be an open, friendly and caring church where all people are invited to discover, explore and develop their spirituality in Christ’s name and to participate fully in the life and work of the congregation regardless of age, race, economic status, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, and physical or mental ability.
We believe that everything in our lives — every thing — is because of God’s grace. We are called, then, as Christians to be stewards of God’s gifts. As stewards, our responsibility is to look after and care for those things that we know do not belong to us.
The United Church of Canada tells us stewardship is
• how we spend our time and share our talents and gifts
• how we care for our bodies and make healthy choices
• how we set our priorities around our treasures, financial and material
• how we care for the environment and practise our faith
