Recess Islington is a once per month respite program that offers free care to children with special needs and their siblings while parents enjoy a night out.  It’s a fun-filled evening of activities that kids love.

We are currently looking for volunteers wishing to join our Recess team. All volunteers receive training, a free Recess t-shirt and dinner before each event. Volunteers also have the option of working one-on-one with a child with special needs, a sibling or being a room supervisor depending on their experience and comfort working with children. If you are interested in volunteering with us please complete and submit a Volunteer Registration form.

We are also looking for new families of children with special needs who would like to join us at our Recess events. If you have a child with special needs please complete and submit a Child Registration form.
