What is PAR?
At Islington United Church, being on pre-authorized remittance — or PAR — simply means you are a monthly supporter. It’s “pre-authorized” because you give your permission ahead of time. And “remittance” comes from the word “remit,” which means to give back.
Being on PAR is an easy, convenient, and secure way to support the life and work of IUC through monthly donations. With PAR, you can set up automatic contributions that are deducted directly from your bank account or credit card (so you can still collect your points), ensuring your support continues uninterrupted, even when you’re unable to attend in person.
