DESCRIPTION:Would you like to learn more about listening to others as you both listen to God? \nCould God be nudging you to serve as a Companion for our upcoming Week of Guided Prayer? \nIf you’ve experienced a time of Guided Prayer at Islington United Church or elsewhere\, becoming a Companion may be on your 2025 list of new experiences. Or perhaps you’ve served as a Companion and want to refresh those skills. In either case\, this event is for you.  \nOn Saturday\, January 18 from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm Guided Prayer leaders will provide a day of training to share the expectations and skills involved in being compassionate\, confidential Companions for fellow participants during a Week of Guided Prayer experience. Materials for the Companion Training will be provided ahead of time for you to review\, and hard copies will available at the training. \nBeverages will be provided and we ask that you bring a bagged lunch. We typically gather in the youth room on the lower level for games\, snacks\, discussions\, and time with friends. \nThis week\, we will be meeting in the Stewart East Hall kitchen to bake some delicious gluten-free cookies! These cookies will be sold in our bake sale on Sunday\, January 12. Proceeds from the sale will go toward covering costs for our upcoming youth retreat. \nNewcomers to youth group are always welcome!
