Our Rich Heritage
The United Church Women (UCW) was established in 1962, succeeding the Woman’s Missionary Society (WMS), which was dedicated to global missionary work. The Woman’s Association (WA), focusing on local church and community efforts, preceded the UCW. These groups laid the foundation for the UCW’s ongoing commitment to spiritual, financial, and social contributions. Today, the UCW continues this legacy, fostering Christian witness, study, fellowship, and service across Canada.
Our Community Impact

Outreach Jubilee Unit
Our members actively participate in church life, offering support and learning opportunities while collaborating with the Hospitality Ministry to provide compassionate funeral receptions.
Healing Fund Initiative
From 2023 to 2027, the National UCW is focused on the Healing Fund, supporting Indigenous women, children, and families through a dedicated bursary program.
Fellowship and Support
We offer a welcoming space for women to gather, share, and grow in faith, contributing prayers, gifts, and services to the church’s mission.
