Driving Directions
From Downtown Toronto
Take the Gardiner Expressway West and exit at Islington Avenue North. Continue on Islington until you reach Cordova Avenue; turn right. When you cross the Dundas Street intersection you’ll see us on the right hand side.
From Pearson Airport
Take Highway 427 South, then exit at Burnhamthorpe Road East. As Burnhamthorpe begins to curve south to meet with Dundas, you’ll see us on the left side just before you reach the CIBC.
From Mississauga
Drive east on Burnhamthorpe Road West. As Burnhamthorpe begins to curve south to meet with Dundas, you’ll see us on the left side just before you reach the CIBC.
Parking Options Near Islington United Church
There are several parking options for anyone visiting the church. Scroll down to see the options on a map.
Church Parking
There are two parking lots that belong to the church. One is located at the front of the building, on the east side of Burnhamthorpe Road, and flanked by Burnhamthorpe Crescent on the north side. It contains 22 parking spaces and can be accessed via the round driveway that runs east off of Burnhamthorpe Road on the north side of the church.
The second lot is located at the back of the building and contains 33 spaces, including three accessible parking spots. This lot can be accessed through the laneway that runs east off Burnhamthorpe Road on the south side of the church, just north of the CIBC parking lot.
Laneway Parking
The laneway runs parallel to the south side of the church and can accommodate 17 vehicles. This parking area belongs to the City of Toronto and is considered public parking.
Street Parking
Street parking is available along Dundas Street West. While metered on other days, parking is free-of-charge on Sundays. Street parking is also available on several streets adjacent to the church, namely Burnhamthorpe Crescent (both west and east of Burnhamthorpe), Mattice Road and Holloway Road.
Public Parking Nearby
South of Dundas, on the west side of Cordova Avenue, is Islington Junior Middle School. The school principal has generously given permission for those attending Islington worship services to park in the school lot on Sundays only. The address of the school is 44 Cordova Avenue.
Accessible Parking Spaces
There are three accessible parking spaces located in the back parking lot of the church. An accessible parking permit must be visibly displayed on the dashboard when using one of these spots. These spots are located close to both the accessible doors and elevator, both located at the back of the building.
Public Transit Options
- TTC Bus 37: Stops at Islington Avenue, a short walk from the church.
- Islington Subway Station: Located on the Bloor-Danforth line, approximately five minutes away by bus or 12 to 15 minutes’ walking distance.
- MiWay Bus 26: Connects to nearby Mississauga locations, stopping close to the church.
- TTC Bus 50: Provides service along Burnhamthorpe Road, with stops near the church.
- Bike Share Toronto: Stations available for convenient cycling to the church.
