We honour, celebrate and aim to engage young people of all ages — from zero to 30 years. Regardless of your age, spiritual journey, relationship with the Spirit (or lack of it), there is a space for you here — a space to ask questions, to stretch, and to grow in faith.
Engaging Families Together
Worship
There is something for children of all ages at Islington. We offer Children’s worship on Sundays 52 weeks a year, Children’s Chorus and family dinners, family events and camps, and other opportunities to grow in faith and build community throughout the year.
Godly Play (Age 4-11)
Sundays 10:30-11:30, Children age 4-11 are welcome to join us in Godly Play during worship for stories, wondering, and play-based learning. You can learn more about Godly at Islington by watching this short video. If you are new to Godly Play, parents are welcome to tour the space and learn about the program after worship.
Youth Group (Grade 6-12)
Sundays 10:30-11:30, Youth grade 6-12 are invited to join us in the youth room for discussion, snacks, and some fun.
Family Friendly Area
Every week, the Family Friendly Area is available for families in need of a more relaxed worship space for their young ones in the sanctuary. Children are always welcome in worship, and families are also always welcome to step out to the reception room with children if needed.
Intergenerational Worship
Several Sundays throughout the year, we have intergenerational worship services where children and youth take part in leading the service. These weeks Godly Play and Youth Group are not offered and we encourage young ones to take leadership in worship.
