Spring Equinox Meditation
March 20 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
The Spring (or Vernal) Equinox marks the point in time when the sun sits directly over the Earth’s equator as it heads northward. Both northern and southern hemispheres share the sun’s rays equally at the equinox, and therefore day and night are roughly of equal length. This year the Vernal Equinox falls on Monday, March 20 at 5:24 pm. With the sun traveling north, it marks the beginning of spring.
On the Spring Equinox you are invited to come and engage with themes of renewal, rebirth and awakening. Please join us in meditation to welcome in enlightenment, inspiration and new beginnings.
Come, celebrate the return of the light.
All are welcomed to gather for quiet meditation in the Sanctuary, led by James Aitchison, at 7:00 pm.
Feel free to arrive a few minutes early to get settled in. We will finish by 8:00 pm, allowing some time to digest our experience and share a bit if we like.
Enter through the Stewart East Hall doors (rear parking lot) or through the Chapel door entrance (front parking lot).
No experience or registration is required. Feel free to invite friends and family. Although masks are no longer mandatory, you are encouraged to wear one if you prefer.
