Noisy Sunday

April 19 to May 24

What is Noisy Sunday?

A Fundraiser!

For 5 weeks, you are invited to collect coins in your Noisy Sunday Jar to raise funds to support of our children, youth, and young adult ministry at IUC. On May 24 – Noisy Sunday – bring your jars back to celebrate with us, shake your jars, and make some noise!

An Opportunity to Know our Children and Youth

Inside your jar or envelope is one young person from our community for you to be praying for. You are invited to write notes, prayers, encouragements, or whatever your gift may be, for this young person and return them with your jar of coins on Noisy Sunday.

A Celebration!

Children, Youth, and Young Adult Ministry is vital to the future of the church. Join us in celebrating this ministry on May 24th by bringing back your jars and worshipping with our young people and families together! Thank you for your generousity.

FAQs

What if I didn't get a jar?

If you did not receive a jar or envelope, you can come by the church office this week to collect one, or email families@islingtonunited.org for a child to pray for.

What if I don't have coins?

We know many people don’t have many coins these days. You can take an envelope instead and donate cheques or bills. You are also welcome to donate online or e-transfer give@islingtonunited.org noting “Noisy Sunday” in the memo field.

Can I get a tax receipt for my donation of coins?

Yes. If you would like a tax receipt, please include your name inside your jar or envelope.

How can I continue my relationship with the children after Noisy Sunday?

Noisy Sunday is just the first step to getting to know at least one child in the IUC community by name. We encourage you to say hello to the children you are praying at church, get to know them, and pray for them often! Remember your baptism vows to support the young ones in our church and don’t be afraid to reach out and connect with our young families.
