Light Up The Night
What is Light Up the Night?
Light up the Night is a Community Event that kicks off the Advent season with celebration!
Join us at 2pm for our indoor portion that includes a Community Craft Market with vendors from our church and wider community, Chili for sale for $5 and space to enjoy your lunch, Christmas card making, a Drag Storytime And sing-Along, and you can get a family photo taken in front of the Christmas tree for $10.
Then at 5pm, join us for our outdoor portion of the night for free hot chocolate, cider, and cookies, carol singing with a brass band, and lighting up our christmas tree!

If you sell crafty things, consider joining us as a vendor at the event from 2-5pm!

Family Photos
We have lovely spaces for family photos at Islington, and we will have a photographer to take family photos! If you would like to schedule a time slot for family photos after church between 11:45am-1pm in the Reception Room, use the link to book your spot. If you would like a photo in the Sanctuary in front of the tree, there will be a queue during the event fron 3-5pm. Please bring $10 for photos.
Drag Storytime and Sing-Along
Join us in the Reception Room at 3:30pm or 4:15pm for A family-friendly Christmas Storytime. Drag Queen, Carlotta Carlisle will read stories and lead a Christmas sing along for all ages.
If you are a part of the IUC community, you might be familiar with Carlotta AKA Joey, the Nephew of Betty Tansley! We are thrilled to have Carlotta Joining us for this special event.
