SUMMARY:Connecting to You: Women's Retreat
DESCRIPTION:Join us in Islington United Church’s Stewart East Hall for our pre-Thanksgiving Connecting to You Women’s Retreat\, Cultivating Gratitude for Enough. \nWe’re meeting on Friday\, Oct. 3\, from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday\, Oct. 4\, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. \nFriday night\, we will explore what it means to be “enough” despite cultural messages. Saturday\, guest speaker Miriam Frey – a Kitchener-Waterloo spiritual director and educator – returns to help us identify how each of our spiritual preferences (mystic\, intellectual\, relational\, or social justice orientation) is “enough”. We will then consider ways to cultivate and connect with our gratitude for being “enough”. \nWe’ll provide a soup lunch on Saturday and gluten-free options will also be available. We’ll also have refreshments and worship\, and lots of time to enjoy community. \nDetails \n\nRegistration is now open – form below\nNo experience or preparation is necessary.\nPlease indicate by September 21 if you need child care.\nBring a pen\, notebook\, and water bottle both days.\nLight refreshments and Saturday’s lunch will be provided.\n\nCost \n\n$50.00\nCost should not be a barrier.
