In Our Prayers

Please pray for the men, women, and children of South Sudan where famine has been declared.  Also pray for the people of Nigeria, Somalia, Kenya, and Yemen where there is a food crisis. A food crisis becomes famine when 30% of the community’s population is severely malnourished and at least two people out of every 10,000 are dying each day. Give thanks for our Mission & Service partners working in this region to address hunger each and every day. Learn more online at

Also, please pray for the victims, their families and friends, and the communities subjected to recent terrorist attacks so far in this month of June: in Afghanistan, Algeria, Egypt, Iraq, Mali, Niger, Saudi Arabia, Cameroon, Tunisia, Burkino Faso, India, the Philippines, United Kingdom, Pakistan, Australia, and Somalia. Give thanks for our Mission & Service partners who are working for peace in the world, particularly in the Philippines and the Middle East.

Requesting a

Stephen Minister

Stephen Ministry is the one-to-one lay caring ministry. Stephen Ministers are specially trained lay-caregivers who provide high-quality, confidential, Christ-centered care to people who are hurting. Stephen Ministers walk with those in need, often several times a week. They do not heal. But they do provide comfort, council and love. You can learn more about our Stephen Ministers here.

If you would like to request a Stephen Minister for yourself or someone in need please call Rev. Maya Landell at 416-239-1131 Ext. 23 or email her at
