How to Get Here for our Christmas Eve Services

Islington United Church is a landmark in the village of Islington, so many of our neighbours plan to visit for our Christmas Eve services. Please join us for our Family Service at 5:00pm, our Choral Service at 7:00pm, or our Candlelight service at 10:00pm.

We realize our parking is limited, so here are a few tips to help make your travels to Islington as smooth as possible tomorrow evening.

1. Arrive early. If you have mobility issues, we recommend arriving at least 30 minutes early to secure a parking space with easy access to the building. Our elevator is located through the back parking lot doors, and the front entrance has a few stairs you will need to climb to access the sanctuary. Please as for help from our welcome team if you need it. For those who are able to park a bit further away, give yourself enough time to walk over from where you parked.

2. Please be courteous to our neighbours. Ensure your are parking on streets where it is allowed any you are not blocking driveways, fire routes, or other vehicles. You can find a full parking map on our website of where you can park if you are able to make space in are parking lot for those who need it most.

3. Travel Safely. Please don’t rush to get here. The ice and dark could be dangerous if you are not careful. Always cross at designated lights and crosswalks. Burnhamthorpe is a busy and winding street and drivers may not see you coming.

4. Use public transit. If you are able to get here by carpool or public transit, it will save you time parking. You can find the best ways to get here by transit on our website.

5. Special Event Parking. Just around the corner from us, Islington Junior Middle School and Turner and Porter will have additional parking available for us.

We look forward to celebrating the Mystery of Christmas with you tomorrow evening. Safe Travels!
