How good it was to celebrate the start of the Advent season together! On December 1, neighbours, community members, families, and church friends gathered outside Islington United Church for our annual Light Up the Light event.
We shared in festive foods like hot chocolate, cider, cookies, and chili.
This event is a clear community highlight as we had so many new faces joining us. We were lucky to have clear skies this evening so we could have the whole event outside.
Some highlights of the evening included the brass band, songs from our children’s chorus, and lighting up the tree! We ended off the night by passing the light to 150 and singing Silent Night together.
