In Part 2 of this six-week Easter series, Knowing Jesus in a New Way, we wonder with the story of doubting Thomas. For centuries, Christians have called the Sunday after Easter “Bright Sunday,” referring to the days of joy and laughter following Jesus’ resurrection and celebrated with parties and picnics.  People would pray practical jokes on each other, drench each other with water, sing and dance. It was a time for telling jokes and having fun. This all comes from people musing that Easter was God’s supreme joke played on death – The Easter Laugh.
