Sunday Worship Service - September 24, 2023 at 10:30 am
Please join us at 10:30 am for Worship Service either in person or online – Orange Shirt Sunday – Philippians 1:21-30.
Please join us at 10:30 am for our Sunday worship service, either in person in the Sanctuary or online. Today’s Worship will be led by Jason Locke, Rev. Minnie Hornidge, Brianna Raakman and other readers.
Today we mark Orange Shirt Sunday. This significant event serves as a powerful reminder of the residential school system’s devastating impact on Indigenous communities. By wearing orange shirts, we show solidarity and commemorate the resilience of Indigenous survivors. You will be supporting a vital cause promoting reconciliation, education, and healing. Together, let’s raise awareness to support Indigenous-led initiatives. Join us in fostering a compassionate and inclusive community, as we honour the past, empower the present, and create a brighter future.
Philip Cote, an Indigenous artist, activist, educator, historian, cultural advisor and Ancestral Knowledge Keeper, will join us after service at Coffee Hour in Stewart East Hall.
Today will be the last practice walk for Walk the Walk. We will meet at the Giving Garden after the service. Don’t forget to bring your walking shoes!
You may sit anywhere you wish without restrictions. When attending worship during this busy season, we encourage you to wear a mask. As a community of caring, we wear a mask to protect others who may be more vulnerable than ourselves.
Consider keeping a mask handy when you engage in conversation with someone else. If you’re feeling unwell, we encourage you to please care for yourself at home and join us online.
If you want to wear a mask and forgot to bring yours, we will have masks available at the entrances to the Sanctuary.
If you choose not to or unable to attend in person, we are very happy to have you join us online. Simply click on the white arrow below at 10:30 am on Sunday morning, or anytime after.
