Sunday Worship Service - November 13, 2022 at 10:30 am

WELCOME

This week in worship we come to the letter J in Sara Jewell’s Alphabet of Faith  – J Is for Justice. There are so many ways to connect with this call to seek justice, love kindness and walk humbly with God. We explore the idea of Shalom and God’s invitation to justice as defined as “fair treatment,” and the foundation of right relationship, peace, harmony, wholeness, prosperity, well-being and tranquility for everyone.

I’ve been reading this chapter at the same time as reading Building Justice: Frank Iacobucci and the Life Cycles of the Law by Shauna Van Praagh. There is so much to think and pray about as we co-create this world with God.

Also this Sunday, we will bless and celebrate the baptism of two young boys, and commit our support in 2023 to help build community within Islington United Church. Don’t forget your commitment cards this Commitment Sunday.

Can’t wait to see you then!

Blessings,

Rev. Maya
