Sunday Worship Service - October 23, 2022 at 10:30 am

WELCOME

As we head into our next letter of Alphabet of Faith written by Sara Jewell we will pray into G Is for Grace. Let’s explore what this Amazing Grace is that we sing about, and come close to God through God’s amazing and unconditional love.

Grace is also a name – it is my great grandmother’s name and my daughter’s middle name. Perhaps it is also a family name for you. Grace as a name is also a posture, embodied through love, forgiveness and availability.

As I look back on the last few weeks in ministry here at Islington United Church, I see examples of people working together to embody Christ’s love and care – the Taste and See Open House, the WALK the WALK for Social Justice, the Rummage Sale team at work. In order for big teams to work together, we need buckets of Grace. And for this element alive in our community I am very thankful.

See you Sunday,

Rev. Maya

P.S. There will be a double baptism this week!
