Sunday School


Godly Play is Islington’s faith formation program for children ages 3-grade 8. This program helps children come closer to God as they experience God’s story and become a part of an amazing community of children.

Rise

(Grades 5 to 8)

Rise is a special program for Junior Youth in Grades 5 to 8. We meet at the Church on the first and third Sunday of the month to discuss faith, life and to simply to have fun! Our gatherings begin with lunch from 12:30 to 1:30. Then we have a special program with games, stories, songs and discussions held from 1:30 to 3:00. Junior Choir

(Grades 4 to 6)

Islington is proud of its Junior Choir. If you have a budding vocalist in your household between the age of 6 and 12 you should encourage them to become part of our Junior Choir. Participating in our Junior Choir allows children to develop their musical skills and to perform during worship service. It’s also a great way to make new friends and to have a lot of fun. Junior Bell Choir

(Age 6 to 13)

Islington has a wonderful Junior Bell Choir for children 6 to 13. Hand bell choirs are fun and a challenging music ensemble - a wonderful opportunity to develop musical skills. If you have children between the age of 6 and 13 why not suggest they become part of our Junior Bell Choir. The Junior Bell Choir performs during selected worship services. It’s a great way to make friends and to have a lot of fun. Beavers and Cubs

(Age 5 to 10)

Since 1914, Scouting has provided an engaging way for young people to learn valuable skills, form social moral principles and make great new friends. Beavers is for boys and girls ages 5 to 7 and emphasizes having fun while encouraging children to feel good about themselves, their friends and family, and God and nature (meets Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.). Cubs is for boys and girls ages 8 to 10 and is built around a lively variety of games, crafts, music, storytelling, play acting, spiritual fellowship and the outdoors (meets Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.).

Faith Family Fridays

Once a month Islington hosts Faith Family Friday at 6:00 p.m. Faith Family Friday is a wonderful opportunity for young families to gather for a casual supper and an evening of family fun and friendship. The GO Project

Children's Program

Come join us for an action packed week as children grades 3-8 explore together what peace and justice looks like through the experience of the GO Project. Children will explore faith and service through unique opportunities such as creek clean-ups, exploring food issues through food collection, growing and sharing, environmental building projects and so much more. This program is presented as a day camp experience with trained camp staff joined with traditional camp experiences such wide games, crafts, small groups, ‘campfire’, delicious food and a generally fun time. Lunch is provided and the program runs from 9:00am to 3:00pm, Monday to Friday. There are also GO Projects for teens and adults!
